Alternative medicine

Traditional medicine is based on traditions and experience, which have survived from the ancient times. Especially effective are traditional methods of Oriental medicine of Southeast Asia and Oceania.

Many methods of traditional medicine are not accepted in traditional medicine. Even scientific studies cannot always explain the phenomenon of the abilities and effectiveness of therapeutic techniques of medicine men and healers. However, modern medicine and does not challenge the right to existence of such an alternative to its own technological and scientifically grounded methods. The main thing is that they do not hurt patients. Today in the sphere of international medical tourism more demand for medical and Wellness programs are being used for rehabilitation and restoration of the body, which are held on traditional Eastern techniques. They also apply for General strengthening of the human immune system.

Conventionally unconventional treatment methods are divided into alternative and complementary. Alternative therapy involves a complete refusal of standard therapy and the complementary — used in combination with standard treatments.

Today, alternative medicine is increasingly included in the curricula of even regular medical facilities and centres for recovery and rehabilitation of the human body, particularly in Asia and Latin America.

In some Asian and African countries 80% of population rely on tradicionnogo medicine in case of the need to address health problems. If you look outside of traditional culture, traditional folk medicine is often called complementary and alternative medicine. Medication, created by the recipes of traditional medicine, include only natural ingredients.

The widest application of folk and non-traditional medicine can be seen in Africa and Asia, that’s where the most unusual methods of disease control, including using incantations, insect poisons, animal blood, energy of precious stones, etc.

Some alternative therapies have become a mandatory part of health programs VIP level.

There are several popular alternative therapies, such as:

• phytotherapy (treatment with medicinal herbs, in which the reception of infusions of various plants and herbs beneficial effect on the whole organism, cleanses the vital organs and blood from toxins, enhances the protective functions of the organism without adverse effects on organs, as it can be when taking chemical preparations);

• urine therapy (external or internal application of urine humans or animals for therapeutic purposes in modern medicine, this method is considered dangerous in connection with possibility of development of poisoning and the spread of infection);
